Samsung is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series at the upcoming Unpacked event. Expected to follow the usual pattern, the lineup will likely consist of three models. However, there’s buzz around a new variant—Galaxy S25 Slim—that has sparked excitement among tech enthusiasts.
Design and Features:
Leaks and renders from The Verge, OnLeaks, and Smartprix suggest that the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature a flat front, back, and sides, with three rear cameras similar to the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24. The key difference? The S25 Slim will be a remarkably slimmer device at just 6.4mm—1.2mm thinner than the Galaxy S24. This makes it even thinner than the flagship S25 Ultra, which is expected to be 8.2mm thick.
The Galaxy S25 and S25+ are rumoured to sport a sleek, minimalistic design in an eye-catching Icy Blue, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to stand out with a refined Titanium Blue colour and a boxy design. Fans are particularly excited about the upgraded camera system, which could include a LiDAR sensor for better AR capabilities. The S25 Ultra may also feature a dedicated slot for the S Pen, as seen in previous Ultra models.
In addition, Samsung is expected to launch magnetic protective cases for the series, supporting 25W EPP Qi2 wireless charging. These cases won’t feature Qi2 wireless charging by default, but they’ll enable faster, more efficient charging.
Performance:
All three Galaxy S25 models will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and at least 12GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance for gaming, multitasking, and photography.
One UI 7:
Samsung’s One UI 7, based on Android 15, is expected to bring some exciting updates, including an iPhone-like “Now Bar,” a redesigned camera app, and new options to enhance video content. One of the biggest anticipated features is Project Moohan, an extended reality (XR) headset developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm. This headset will likely offer advanced displays, pass-through capabilities, and multi-modal inputs, including support for Google services like Maps and YouTube.
Expected Pricing:
Leaks indicate that the Galaxy S25 will be priced around ₹84,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, with the S25 Plus likely starting at ₹1,04,999. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to start at ₹1,34,999, with prices climbing higher for models with larger storage options.
